'FLEUR DE ROSA'
PRINT DEVELOPMENT & INSPIRATION
After seasons of highly graphic & stencil- like florals, a flurry of softer blooms take centre stage as designers follow this new age romantic trend. A water colour technique is key for this delicate story, executed in a vintage pastel palette for an overly feminine feel. Abstract florals are favoured for an artistic touch.
From brushstroke florals to stylised plant leaves, we embrace the more-is more approach to technique to offer an on-trend maximalist look. Overlaying oversized English flower sketches over bright Indian pink hues showcase a look of grandeur, flamboyance and high impact. Whilst the pastel shades add a calming, tranquil embrace.
Our designer Emily created this beautiful print repeat using a combination of fine pencil drawings, water colour & indian inks, worked into the adobe suite package software. Inspired by the latest print trends showcased on trend forecast platform WGSN.
INSPIRATION & DEVELOPMENT
Hand drawn floral prints are overhauled with artistic expression. Experimental collage, sketched line drawings & illustrated shading breathes new life and creativity into womenswear florals. We have named the statement print 'FLEUR DE ROSA' as Inspired by the classic hibiscus plant & rose families.
Light grounds with beautiful nude & blush tones create an arrangement of colourways; oyster, champagne blush, & the quintessentially exclusive chateau rose. Complimentary painted brights create a sophisticated yet fresh look, reflecting a sense of refinement & luxury.
